Make Art Together.
From a distance
During this uncertain time in history, making and creating is more important than ever. Art connects us all - our families, our communities, the world. Following my tradition of hands-on community art projects, I’m asking for your talent and collaboration in a new interactive art piece from the shelter of your home.
How To Participate:
Purchase your pack(s)
Your $5 contribution covers postage and supplies to participate in this stay-at-home community art project. Purchase as many packs as you’d like for the whole family!
Each pack includes a historical figure’s portrait and body cut from a 1921 Collier’s Encyclopedia set glued to vintage piano player paper, song lyric snippets from vintage music sheets, and a few other goodies for you to play with.
The only restriction is that you keep it FLAT. Paint, markers, pen, glue - it’s all up to you. Let the figure and the words inspire. Write a poem, tell a story, or maybe song! Just make sure to sign and date your work on the front.
When you’re done, mail your contributions back to me with the provided envelope. Your artwork will be added with the others to a continuous paper roll to create a rotating slideshow - with a social distance of about 6” apart of course.
Go crazy and have fun with it!
I look forward to seeing your creative contributions. With much love and good health to you, your family and the world -
Donna
